Enrique Barreto brings a wealth of experience to his current role as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Co-Founder at Voyager Media Group. With over 20 years of experience in the start-up and retail sectors, Enrique has held various leadership positions that have given him a deep understanding of what it takes to build and run successful businesses. Most recently, he was at Rubrik, where he was responsible for running day-to-day operations and providing technical expertise on data protection technologies that he could apply across many industries.
David Siles is the Global Field CISO for Rubrik as well as the Chairman and CEO of the Voyager Media Group. A veteran of start-up and public sector companies, he brings to the table over 25 years as a thought leader, coach, mentor, and sound businessman. He has built and led some of the largest, high performing sales engineering teams in technology today over his caeers.
He has previously served in various leadership and founding positions at HyTrust, DataGravity, Veeam, Illinois Trading Company, Kane County, Illinois, City of Chicago, among others. David is frequently asked to speak at international conferences and contributes press articles and media interviews when available.
David Siles and Enrique Barreto met with an inspiring challenge in 2020: to promote Sales Engineering as a viable vocational career within the technology industry. As such, they set out on their mission to encourage those with technical understanding and persuasive natures – believing that change for the better is possible by investing in products that meet customers’ expectations.
This created quite a stir among other Technology professionals; many weren’t even aware of this title before! By leading by example, David and Enrique demonstrate how anyone can be successful at being a Sales Engineer if one has passion burning inside them.
And just like a burrito, the right mixture of ingredients and passion for having the best burrito ever created the analogy of building great Sales Engineers by providing the tools and mentoring they need to succeed.
Dave and Enrique’s mission has been clear: “We had always wanted to leave this world in a BETTER SHAPE than when we first came in it,” Sales Burrito is one of our many aspirational goals to help others overachieve their dreams.
With a bit of risk-taking, we made our endeavor even more successful – taking a familiar name and turning it into something extraordinary. People quickly grew to love the unconventional moniker: Sales Burrito!
We were ecstatic when we saw the global enthusiasm for our Podcast and its sales engineer! It spurred a tremendous surge in viewership from all corners of the world, making us feel truly fulfilled. We couldn’t have asked for anything more rewarding than this remarkable moment that left us positively elated.
